3. Understand the Tabernacle and the relationship to Jesus.
4. Summarize Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy.

Memory Verse:
Deuteronomy 6:4-5 (NIV)
4 “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.”

Deuteronomy 6:4-5 (ESV)

4 “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.[a] 5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.

This verse was at the heart of Israel’s faith. It was referred to as the "Shema" from the Hebrew verb to hear. It reflected what made the Israelites different from the nations around them; they believed in one God (monotheism), and they were called to love him with everything. This was the basis of their covenant relationship with him. Jesus quoted this verse in the Gospels (Mark 12:29) when he was asked what the greatest command was. He responded with this verse from Deuteronomy 6, and he added Leviticus 19:18, which included loving your neighbor.
