Memory Verse:
Galatians 3:6-7 (NIV)
6 So also Abraham “believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”
7 Understand, then, that those who have faith are children of Abraham.
Galatians 3:6-7 (ESV)
6 just as Abraham “believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”?
7 Know then that it is those of faith who are the sons of Abraham
In writing to the Galatian church (1st century A.D.), Paul quoted Genesis 15:6 and related Abraham’s faith (trust and confidence in God) with the inclusion of Gentiles into the people of God. Because of this inclusion, the Galatian Christians were to have the same faith in God as Abraham had centuries earlier.
